Recharging Your Life
It’s happened to you. You’ve gone out to start your car and all you hear is a clicking sound. You try it again and again, and the clicking starts to get quieter. It’s what you feared. Your battery is dead. Either you left the lights on, the connections are corroded and you never got around to cleaning them off, or the battery is old and just won’t hold a charge anymore.
You ever feel that way? The spark has drained out of life and you just can’t get yourself to “˜turn over?’ It’s because you’ve allowed your battery to run dry. What you need are a set of jumper cables so you can recharge your life.
Jumper cables are wires that connect from one battery to another, allowing the energy from one battery to flow into another. They provide just enough power to start an engine, then if everything else is running right, the battery can recharge itself ““ if you allow it to.
What personal jumper cables do you need? You know what “˜turns you on’ and what will recharge your life. If you’re running low on power, it’s time to recharge, otherwise you’ll get to the point you can’t function at all. All you’ll get is a dwindling clicking sound that won’t do anyone any good, except to irritate those depending on you.
Take some time off. Go do something different for a while. Recharge your batteries. You know what you need to do; what will bring that spring back into your step. Or if you’ve tried to recharge and it’s just not working except for very short spurts, you may have to admit your battery is dead and run dry. Maybe what you’ve been doing isn’t right for you. Maybe it’s time to make a more drastic change, get a fresh start (battery) that will hold a charge like it should. If you won’t do it for yourself, consider doing it for those who depend on you.
